2013 ARPA Conference Update

The upcoming ARPA Conference has moved locations and dates, due to construction issues. The conference will be held in Mobile at the Renaissance Hotel, January 13-16. We are excited about the upcoming conference. More information will be forthcoming soon. |

We have two parks that are popular with photographers as places to use for photo sessions. In fact, they have become so popular that it has become an issue as far as interfering with the people using the park for general recreation and for reservations. We are in the process of putting together a permit for photographers to use these parks and wondered if other cities have encountered anything similar and what their policy is for this. .
Question 2
Looking for any type of statistics that can show percentage increases that you will see in membership numbers if you open a new recreation/community center as compared to what you have at the existing center.

Alabama Five-O Workshop
July 18th at 10:00, Trussville Senior Center
Do you work with seniors? If so this workshop is for you, the Alabama Five-O Committee has put together an educational workshop to be held July 18th at 10:00 a.m. in Trussville. The cost to attend is only $25 per person and will include lunch. There will be several topics discussed including trips and things you will need, what to expect on a daily basis, power of attorney updates, fitness, and a roundtable discussion.

New Deadline Extension for ADA Pool Lifts
January 31, 2013 The DOJ has given an extension to municipalities for compliance regarding the ADA pool lifts. This extension is set in stone and gives everyone ample time to comply and answers any questions that may arise from the regulation.
