Natalie Norman appointed as ARPA Executive Director
The Alabama Recreation and Parks Association (ARPA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Natalie Norman as Executive Director, effective immediately. The Board’s action comes with the fullest confidence that Norman will be an excellent steward of ARPA’s mission and vision for the future.
“Natalie’s experience, leadership and devotion to ARPA make her the right person to lead our association,” said Drew Peterson, ARPA President. “We are excited to have her on board.”
Norman has served ARPA in various roles throughout the past thirty years. Norman served the organization as a professional member while working at Montgomery Parks and Recreation. During her tenure at Montgomery she also served in various roles on the ARPA Board of Directors, including President of ARPA. Upon retirement, Norman began serving as an employee at the ARPA State Office, and last year began working for the ARPA Foundation. Norman has been serving as Interim Executive Director since September.
